Harry Potter
The novels revolve around Harry Potter, who's an orphan and dicovers he's a wizard. He is living with the normal world, and is invited to Hogworts (wizard) school. He faces many foes, including voldemort, the powerful wizard which killed his family.
Each book is one year in Harry's life, and it's set in 1991-1998.
The first film was 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' it was directed by Chris Columbus, and starred Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, who were previously unknown.
The storyline:

Charlie and the chocolate factory
Charlie and the Chocolate factory was originally a book written by Roald Dahl. The story is about Charlie, a poor boy, who finds a golden ticket that allows him to look around Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Charlie wins the prize (as all the other children get into accidents) and all of his family get to live in the chocolate factory.
The story has been turned into a film twice.
The storyline:
When Willy Wonka decides to let five children into his chocolate factory, he decides to release five golden tickets in five separate chocolate bars, causing complete mayhem. The tickets start to be found, with the fifth going to a very special boy, called Charlie Bucket. With his Grandpa, Charlie joins the rest of the children to experience the most amazing factory ever. But not everything goes to plan within the factory.
