In media we are now working on our practical project, which is the production of a two minute introduction of a film. To start with each member of the group wrote a storyline, and then we voted for the best one. Then we had our genre, and an idea of who our main characters are.
In the past few weeks in media we have created a script, and started researching genre and classification.
I created the script, and have researched the horror genre, classifications, looked at the beginning of alien (a similar film), and watched an introduction of a film. We have looked as a group at different genres, conventions, similar actors, and analysed different title sequences of similar films.
Next we will all research into one distribution company, two mainstream and two independent. I will look at Warner bro, and what genres of films they normally do.
